Hare Krishna Temple
The Church of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness, the former Avenue Road Church, at 243 Avenue Road is designated on architectural and contextual grounds. Built in 1899 as the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, it is characteristic of the work of Toronto architects Gordon and Helliwell. It was purchased and converted into the Hare Krishna temple in 1975-76.
