Royal York Hotel
The Fairmont Royal York, formerly known as the Royal York Hotel, is a large and historic hotel in downtown Toronto, at 100 Front Street West. It was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway across the street from Union Station. The Royal York Hotel opened in 1929 as the tallest building in the British Commonwealth. Today it is surrounded by Toronto's modern skyscrapers.
