Soldier's Tower
Soldiers' Tower commemorates the students of the University of Toronto who served during World War I. Construction started in 1919 and completed in 1924 by Sproatt and Rolph. The tower is a key building at the university and stands 143 feet tall. The clock and the carillon of the tower were added in 1927. A wall at the base of tower contains the names of students who died during World War I and other conflicts since.
