Applewood The Shaver Homestead
This historic building is the birthplace of James Shaver Woodsworth, the founder of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) political party, which later evolved into the New Democratic Party. Applewood is an 1850s brick, Georgian farmhouse with furnishings dating back to the period. The home can be rented for weddings and receptions and for its upper level office space.
