Clareville Conservation Area
The Clareville Conservation Area is one of the largest tracts of land owned by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. It was acquired in 1957 to construct a flood control dam and reservoir after the destruction caused by Hurricane Hazel. The park is a 2,100 acre parcel of conservation land located on the west branch of the Humber River. Clareville contains significant natural and cultural heritage features, and has outstanding recreation, tourism and educational facilities and programs.
