The Better Living Centre
Another of the classic Modernist buildings on the Exhibition grounds, the original purpose of the Better Living Centre was introduce new ranges of consumer goods to the baby boomer generation, making it a "space of encounter between consumer and product". Now the Better Living Centre has been divided in two, with one half now devoted to a casino, the other to the Rogers Sportszone, where indoor demonstrations of such things as scuba diving and BMX bicycling are staged. The building was designed by architects Marani, Morris and Allan and was opened by Toronto mayor Nathan Phillips on August 17, 1964
