Mt Sinai Hospital
Mt Sinai Hospital, located on University Avenue between College and Dundas, was founded in 1923 as The Toronto Hebrew Maternity and Convalescent Hospital. In 1924, the name was changed to Mount Sinai Hospital. Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, Mount Sinai's research facility was established in 1985. Mt.Sinai has the largest number of volunteers of all hospitals in Canada approximately 20,000 registered volunteers. It is affiliated with many Universities, including the University of Toronto.
